Steve is a knowledgeable trainer and a great coach. He is continuously exploring training methods and furthering his skills to help his clients and fellow competitors improve.
For the past year I have made the drive from Calgary to Edmonton on an almost weekly basis to work with Steve, after identifying issues in some of my dog’s foundation. Steve has made a significant difference in my dogs’ performance.
He is always up for discussing and exploring training techniques and has been invaluable in helping me develop my dogs and helping me grow into a better handler.

They helped me to establish a strong bond with my dog and improve my leadership qualities as a handler. I learned how to work on basic challenges like leash reactivity, good manners in public and now I can proudly take my dog anywhere.

Working with Stephen, from K9 Intel, has been an absolute pleasure from day one. An enthusiastic coach, highly motivated, and kind. The coaching has been consistent, concise, and very rewarding. Bodhi and I started working with K9 Intel in November of 2021 with the goal to complete in CKC Obedience and IGP. Stephen has helped us get more focus and put the fun back into training. His knowledge and patience has moved us forward in our training and we are making great progress. I first met Stephen at a seminar that I’m so happy I decided to do! I was having a hard time and needed work with all 3 phases of IGP. I walked in thinking the most I could ever accomplish was a BH, and 4 days later after that seminar I left with so many tools and things to work on. The confidence me and my dog gained from such a short time was amazing! I had a new excitement for the sport and new goals. Stephen shortly after, helped me at my first ever trial and with all of his guidance and training, we ended up winning the high in BH as well as judges choice award! I have been working with Stephen ever since and finding myself now having goals to one day go to nationals with the same dog I started with! Having a coach/mentor like Stephen is so crucial in a sport like this! I’m so grateful for how hard he has pushed us and how hard he has worked with us so we can grow in this sport and be the best we can be!
I am very grateful to have met Stephen Kemick of K9 Intel. At the time when I reached out to Stephen to inquire about working with him and training my dogs, I was feeling quite discouraged as I had not been seeing the results I’d wanted to attain with my dog Jukon and was excluded from some groups. Stephen took us under his wing and showed us how to progress and train in a way that I understood and my dog thrived with. If it hadn’t been for Stephen at K9 Intel, we would not be as far along in our training as we are today. I really appreciate the flexibility Steve demonstrates in his training. Steve is a keen observer and he knows how best to set things up and how to make changes so my dog can learn effectively. My ability to effectively communicate with and train my dog has increased since working with Steve. We have a lot of fun working with him!

I came to Steve as a first time dog owner, wanting to improve the communication between myself and my puppy.
